President & Chief Executive Officer – Robert Dominick

Robert Dominick, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Lightyear Digital Theatre (Canada) Ltd. and Lightyear Digital Theatre Ltd., possesses vast experience in digital theatre, the entertainment industry, real estate development, marketing and management.

Robert has an extensive international sales, marketing and management background. He has received numerous prestigious national and international awards for his sales and marketing achievements spanning almost three decades.

Robert has senior executive level experience in the delivery and exhibition of interactive and streamed multimedia through digital, 3D and high-definition audio visual technology. Since 1996 he has been extensively involved in the research, development and roll-out of digital cinema and the distribution of digital, high-definition and 3D audio visual experiences to custom built and retrofitted motion picture theatres.

Robert is the immediate Past-President of the Downtown Surrey Business Improvement Association in British Columbia, Chairman of the Surrey City Centre Economic Development Committe, Vice President Sales and Marketing for WestStone Properties Ltd. (a corporation involved in over $1-billion of real estate development in British Columbia) and has served as Chief Operating Officer of a motion picture corporation.

Director of Digital Cinema – David Miller

David Miller operates Perception Technologies a Los Angeles based consulting and technical services company with cutting edge expertise in the technologies that drive commercial cinemas, post-production studios and high-end screening rooms. Perception Technologies brings together many disciplines of the motion picture industry to provide unique solutions for all types of screening, production and post-production facilities. His company has built-out and maintains many critical viewing facilities in and around Hollywood for clients such as Light Storm Media, Bay Films and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. David acts in a consulting role for many celebrity clients as they make the transition from film to digital and 3D in their private home theatres.

On the research and development side of digital technology, his company continues to work closely with many top Hollywood technical minds on new methods of streamlining post-production and archiving existing work. Perception Technologies continues to work on the development of new methods to integrate technology into peoples lives and to deliver rich media content through new and exciting means.

Director of Design Engineering – Charles (Chuck) Mulhearn

Chuck Mulhearn has been in the Professional Audio Industry for over 35 years. He spent 30 years with Klipsch Audio Technologies developing many different domestic and international market segments for the company. Chuck has extensive market knowledge in both the North American Cinema/Exhibition market as well as its worldwide market.

In addition to being responsible for market distribution, sales and P&L accountability, Chuck was also answerable for Product Development and overseeing many audio system designs. These systems consisted of applications from small business background audio to large outdoor arenas.

During the last 12 years, Chuck has concentrated his energy within the Professional Cinema/Exhibition industry. Along with several other specialists, he was involved in the design of the very first operational 16 channel Cinema audio playback system, created to take advantage of the multiple audio tracks available in today’s Digital Cinema programming.

CIT Network Director – Hugh Dobbie

Hugh Dobbie, the CIT Network Director of Lightyear Digital Theatre (Canada) Ltd. is also the President and CEO of Interactive Netcasting Systems Inc. (INSINC), a pioneer in the delivery of audio and video over Internet protocols. Prior to founding INSINC in 1998, Mr. Dobbie was the President of Dowco Computer Systems Ltd., one of British Columbia’s largest privately held ISPs. A technology veteran, with over 23 years experience, he has a proven track record in creating successful business models with new technologies.

Mr. Dobbie has overseen a variety of contractual engagements with major sports, entertainment and communications companies including relationships with: CTV, Woodbine Entertainment Group, AT&T (Canada), Telus, Akamai Technologies Inc., the Banff Television Festival, Orca Bay Sports and Entertainment, Canadian Idol, the Vancouver International Film Festival and Report on Business Television. He is widely quoted in media publications and has appeared on both radio and television as a streaming media expert.

Mr. Dobbie currently serves on the boards of Dowco Computer Systems, INSINC and Tri-M Wireless Inc.

Chief Financial Officer-David Pel CGA

David Pel has built his exceptional career and business practice with the same clarity, balance, and individualized attention that marks every aspect of his life. Rated in the top one percent of CGA exams across Canada, David graduated from the prestigious University of BC’s CGA program in 1983 to bring his considerable industry accounting experience to public practice. After six years in partnership, he opened his flourishing practice in Metro Vancouver’s Surrey location in 1991, where he lives with his family and legendary garden.

From Weldwood of Canada, to Accountant Controller for the Vancouver location of British American Bank Note, to his current commitment to the financial and tax needs of his business clientele, David continues to serve his community and profession as a founding director of the Downtown Surrey Business Improvement Association.

CIT Development Consultant – David Hosler

David Hosler, the Founder of Lightyear Digital Theatre Ltd. is the CIT Development Consultant for Lightyear Digital Theatre (Canada) Ltd. Mr. Hosler has been at the leading edge of next-generation digital cinema for many years. He helped to conceive and is now executing the digital stage of development in the wide screen visual entertainment continuum.

From 1995 until 2000 Mr. Hosler utilized the Sony High Definition Theatre in Culver City, Los Angeles. He worked with leading scientists to demonstrate digital technology and brought in hundreds of diverse groups to experience digital cinema. Quoted in prestigious periodicals such as Film Journal and Movie Maker Magazine, Mr. Hosler is recognized as one of the principal authorities regarding digital theatre. He has also worked in association with Klipsch Audio Technologies, Boeing Corporation, Digital Projection (now a subsidiary of IMAX), Barco Digital Projection, Sarnoff Labs and Real Image on the development of digital cinema from its infancy, well over a decade ago, to the present.

David has also worked with Tape House in New York, the pre-eminent digital transfer house in the world today, for the period 1997 until 2002, obtaining and submitting samples for compression experimentation and innovation.

He owns businesses in the United States and has served as CEO and Chairman of the Board of a motion picture corporation.
